MIT's Health Sciences & Technology Maker Lab Class
World Maker Faire 2016
Interactive projects from an MIT course, HST Maker Lab. Using Patient-Generated Data Devices as a learning model and kits as a design strategy, students created affordable devices used by patients to manage their health.
What inspired you to make this project?:
Medical Device design is traditionally black boxed and prohibitively expensive for patients and providers. We designed the HST Maker Lab course so that MIT students could learn how to not just design medical devices, but to design construction sets that are transparent and affordable so patients can create their own medical devices!
