World Maker Faire 2016

Every summer, cadets at West Point conduct their annual training in the woods of the Hudson Valley as part of their familiarization to the Army. This year, in an attempt to expose these students to what the future of operations might look like, trainers integrated making into their field exercises.
Brent Chapman
CPT Brent Chapman is a member of the Defense Innovation Unit Experimental (DIUx). Prior to joining DIUx, he was a Research Scientist and Instructor at West Point. He is an active duty Cyber Warfare Officer in the U.S. Army who received his BS from West Point and MS from Carnegie Mellon University. Brent is an avid maker and contributor to Make: Magazine.
Erick Waage
Erick Waage is Cyber officer and research scientist at the Army Cyber Institute at West Point, NY. He served two tours of duty, including multiple deployments, in the 75th Ranger Regiment from 2010 to 2015. He most recently served as the Regimental Technical Operations Chief. He holds a B.S. from the United States Military Academy.
James Finocchiaro
James Finocchiaro is a member of the Education Research Division of the Army Cyber Institute. He commissioned as a Signal Officer, then transferred into the Army's Military Intelligence branch. James earned his BS from West Point and is a Professional Engineer. His research is in the areas of cyber education, internet of things and robotics. He enjoys building with circuits and legos.
