Rising seventh grader. Part of award winning Odyssey of the mind and FLL teams. National finalist of NASA's Mars competition. Two time semi-finalist of NASA's challenge to 3D design, winner this year (2016) to win 3D printer for his school.
An apparatus with a pointer that changes its position depending on the distance of the objects from the sensor can be used to sense the distance by touch. This can be very helpful for the blind to navigate the surroundings safely with many other uses
What inspired you to make this project?:
I did a project in my 5th grade to compare acoustic properties of materials.
Once I spoke to a blind kid and thought if I could help them some way.
I got an idea to use motor with distance sensor to help people with vision problems.
