We are working to find creative solutions that empower Veterans to take control of their health, including custom built assistive devices, tailor-made prosthetics and individual anatomic models of organs to facilitate understanding of disease.

Ben Salatin, a Clinical Rehabilitation Engineer at the US Dept of Veterans Affairs pioneered the use of 3DP to create assistive devices collaboratively with Veterans and therapists; and is building a national network of 3DP users across the agency.

Beth Ripley MD, PhD is a radiologist at the US Dept of Veterans Affairs who specializes in translating medical imaging into 3D printed models with the goal of changing the way doctors and patients understand and treat disease.

Andrea Ippolito

Andrea Ippolito is the US Dept of Veterans Affairs Innovators Network Lead. She has organized the 1st hackathons ever hosted by the agency and helps create collaborations between Makers, Veterans and the agency.
