Thomas Vagnini graduated as Salutatorian from Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School, in the engineering technology program. He is now attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute for mechanical and robotics engineering.
The 3D MultiPrinter are two 3D printers modified to autonomously manufacture multiple prints in succession by automatically loading clean build platforms.
What inspired you to make this project?:
I built my 3D printer because I did not get to use my school's 3d printer as much as I wanted to. I built my printer so I could have my own printer to experiment with and test the limits of the technology. For my automated mechanism, I was inspired by the Makerbot Thing-o-matic's automated build platform and I was I though it was unfortunate that no automated printers are currently produced. I was in need of a project for my school senior project and thought modifying my printer would be a challenging and interesting project.
