Consumer Reports is an independent, nonprofit organization that works side by side with consumers to create a fairer, safer, and healthier world. We do it by fighting to put consumers’ needs first in the marketplace and by empowering them with the trusted knowledge they depend on to make better, more informed choices.

What inspired you to make this project?:
The maker movement and DIY community share many attitudes and perspectives with the members of Consumer Reports. Many of our professional staff identify themselves as makers and we strong believe in working towards a more sustainable world. As an organization we are inspired by the creativity, enthusiasm, optimistic outlook for grass-roots technology in building a better future and we excited for the opportunity to engage and learn from this important community.
