Makers API is an API for Makerspaces, hackerspaces, Innovation Labs, and related DIY communities around the world. Built on maker.json, a schema for collecting standardized information about these spaces, we also have a searchable map of these spaces to promote communication and collaboration.

Rob Baker is a Lead Technologist in USAID's Global Development Lab, researching emerging innovations for the developing world and enabling our staff to use them effectively. His career as a technologist has revolved around mobile and mapping technology for crisises, civic engagement, open data, and Internet of Things.
