Artist and scientist Amanda Preske of Circuit Breaker Labs transforms broken circuit boards into wearable art.

What inspired you to make this project?:
I've always been creating by hand, and jewelry making was the one thing I just couldn't put down! About a decade ago, my brother disassembled the family computer in an attempt to repair it. With the components strewn about, I became enamored with circuit boards from an artistic perspective, and thought it would be neat to make some jewelry from them (since the computer was past fixable, I had raw material to work with). Years of tinkering and refining have led to the development of what I make and sell today, where circuit boards and married with resin to make geeky, but stylish jewelry and accessories.
