FAB LAB at NORTHAMPTON COMMUNITY COLLEGE

The Fab Lab at NCC is staffed with 21 instructors all with special talents. We have electronics, robotics, 3D design, laser engraving, woodworking, metalworking, audio, and more. All of our instructors are passionate about what they do.

Tobor the Great is a twelve foot haptic robot arm. It is the result of the collaborative efforts of 14 dedicated NCC Fab Lab instructors with talents ranging from woodworking, resin prosthetics, electronics, audio and CNC milling.

What inspired you to make this project?:
The Fab Lab is my passion. I have built this one from the ground up with the help of our Dean of Community Ed, Paul Pierpoint. We are members of the Fab Lab Network but we are pulling in as many manufacturing processes, not just digital, as possible into our lab so we can truly make just about anything.
