What is e-NABLE? We are a global online community of over 5500 volunteers seeking to develop, design, customize, and fabricate 3D printed prosthetics for children... for free. We had the privilege of speaking last year at WMF2014 and want to share some of the exciting developments since then.
Mohit Chaudhary
Currently a Master's Candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University, Mohit has been a volunteer with Enable for a year. With an interest in device design and international aid, he has been able to work with a small group to grow Enable International, a social enterprise seeking to develop a scalable model that can distribute 3D printed upper limb prosthetics in developing nations
Dante Varotsis
I am an aspiring medical school student interested in applications of advancements in academic science, viewed in the context of disruptive innovation in translational medicine and global health. Amalgamating these interests, I am exploring social entrepreneurial ventures, beginning with the disruption of 3D printing and accessible prosthetics in Haiti.
