Shell Painting for Social Justice: Help FI Animals
World Maker Faire 2015

"Be the change you wish to see in the World" said Gandhi Paint a Shell to save the animals on Fire Island. Winter, when animals are left without food or shelter many die. Teens will demonstrate a social justice movement supported by painting shell.
Gisele Shahi
Gisele Shahi is going into the 7th grade at City Knoll Middle School in NYC. She loves art, animals , her family and her dog Cello; also social studies, science and reading. She & Morgan have become semi-vegetarians with her family for social justice
Morgan Shahi
Morgan is going to be a Junior at Bard High School Early College Queens. He has focused on animals in his research for school which has promoted him to be a semi-vegetarian also. He enjoys history, sports and has participated in Super Spartan Races.
Kretanna Bhusal
Kreetana Bhusal is an 8th grader who is in middle school in Queens. She wishes that she could have a dog, she is concerned about the dog that she let in Nepal many years ago. She also love animals, science and math.
MaryEllen Dahill Kelly
MaryEllen is Gisele's Aunt and lives on FI year round. She is inspired by John J. (McCullum) who has dedicated his time, energy and resources to the animals on FI. She has worked with Gisele and Morgan painting and selling shells for FI Animal Rescue
John J. McCullum
FIAR is dedicated to the health and welfare of animals resident to the FI communities of Ocean Beach, Corneille Estates, Fire Island Summer Club, and Robbins Rest on a year-round basis; formed during the 1980s in response to abandoned animals.
