This talk presents findings from an academic research project on the identity work, interest development, and deepening of understanding around STEM, particularly technology, for a group of adolescents in a game design, after-school club Maker experience.

Jennifer Wyld

Jennifer recently completed her PhD studies in the field of Free Choice Learning at Oregon State University, doing her research on a Maker Experience for early adolescents. Before returning to grad school, Jen was a Montessori elementary and adolescent guide and has been exploring alternative education/learning settings for over 20 years. Her Maker skills tend to the crafty side.
