Penrose Tile Wall

Home: California, United States

The Penrose tile wall is an 18 by 9 foot illuminated wall made up of 900 Penrose tiles. The tiling system was designed by Sir Roger Penrose in the 1970s. The animations are generated in real time using animation functions with random parameters so that it never looks the same. It has been shown publicly at Burning Man, and downtown Sacramento.
