Ceramic Art/Pottery Making and Art Journal Making. Ceramic artist Jim Carnathan will display the different stages of making pottery and have air-dry clay available to those who would like to get their hands on the clay and make a small project to take home Artist Gina Grice will be demonstrating the process of making handmade miniature journals. She will have numerous 15-to-20-minute sessions where she will show how to make a journal and have the participants make journals along with her.

Jim Carnathan
Jim is a semi-retired Lincoln resident and has been a ceramic artist for over 15 years. He enjoys wheel throwing clay and hand building or sculpting to create functional pottery or creative art projects. He is also a part time substitute ceramic arts teacher at Sun City Lincoln Hills.
Gina Grice
Gina Grice is a Registered Nurse, Certified Therapeutic Art Coach and artist at Baya Bird Studio. She received her degree in Nursing also taking classes towards a degree in Fine Art and Pre-Architecture. She completed her certification in Professional Coaching for Life through UC Davis and is a member of the International Coaching Federation. Gina has been teaching art for 12 years at various schools, galleries and through her studio. Art journaling plays a major role in her approach to therapeutic art, showing clients how to process emotions through creatively making journals using watercolor backgrounds, mark making techniques and mixed media collage. Gina is an avid supporter of the arts in her local community.
