Early Detection of Sea Coastal Water Contaminants

Home: Italy

We show an application on WASDI platform for a user-friendly interface for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing water quality data. In particular, our idea is to show a system for near real-time detection of water contaminants through monitoring specific parameters and using satellite data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques. The proposed solution will empower stakeholders to make informed decisions about water management. The final objective is the creation of an “alert service”.

We started working together for an ESA (European Space Agency) Challenge where we arrived among the five finalists. After that we applied to a Hackathon and we won the special prize. Most of the members are from University of Sannio, while Cristiano Nattero is from WASDI which realized the prototype, and Marco Esposito is from cosine a company with great expertise in the space field.
