DIY Music Synthesizers
Home: Wisconsin, United States
Music Synthesizers are often too expensive for kids to play and learn on, so home-made DIY kits are an option to introduce live electronic music to everyone. We have circuit bending and electric modulation, and a few eurorack synths to play on.

Dr. Karl Stamm is a data scientist in the healthcare industry, helping others dig into their data. I've been playing with electricity for a few years, analog systems are logical but visceral, so audio synthesis is a fun and engaging hobby. Boutique electronics are terribly expensive, so DIY is the way to go: we can gently learn soldering on low-voltage projects and build up any kind of system. When an audio circuit misbehaves you just get more unique sounds, so it's a fun learning environment.

unique techno is fun and relaxing - and soldering should be within our reach. maybe hubris - we 'should' be able to control electricity to do anything
