Hechuan Wang

Hechuan Wang received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Stony Brook University (SBU) in 2021. During his Ph.D. study, he actively participated in the university outreach program, designing two remote STEM academies that taught Electrical Engineering to 6-8th grades online. After graduation, he became an Assistant Professor of Practice at SBU, teaching the Outreach Program. His educational interest is exposing young students to engineering and making engineering education more accessible through online activities. He is now a Software Engineer since May 2022.

What Inspired You to Make This?

I was a STEAM teacher. This online IDE was the only way to teach Microcontrollers via remote learning during the pandemic. Even after the pandemic, the IDE is still used in the lab because it need minimum setup.
