The design and building of such instruments is a hands-on learning experience in both maker electronics and music concepts. The idea is similar to the creation of a Jug Band in the mid 1900s where individuals used household materials to create their instruments and then played them together to make music. Sass N Harmony

Faire: Bay Area

Maker: Sass N Harmony

Home: California, United States

Sass N Harmony is a multi-instrumental trio, best described as soul folk. The music of Sass N Harmony is imbued with mischief and magic to bring you lyrics immersed in archetypes and folk-tales. Their vocals fly together like a tight triangle of birds overhead, agilely changing directions when needed. At times angelic and feathery and other times cackling and edgy, full of tension and resolve, with lyrics that go straight to the heart. We will be performing on the Rock the Bike pedal power sound system. We are proud to have previously toured with bike-powered sound through 14 different countries in Europe and North America for a total of over 12 months of biking!! We are looking forward to contributing to this ongoing community of environmental musicians and sustainable technologies!

Games Bond

Faire: Rome

Maker: ITS ACADEMY LAZIO DIGITAL

"Games Bond" is a multimedia experience of the "serious game" type whose objective is to raise user awareness of the security issues we face on a daily basis. The game was produced using the "Unity3D" game engine with which three-dimensional environments were created and structured, then integrating diegetic, spatial and non-diegetic graphic interfaces to allow fluid and functional use of the environments. The three-dimensional models were modeled and animated with Maya and Blender and textured in Adobe Substance Painter. Each room has been studied both from a topological and luminous point of view in order to guide the player towards a specific security criticality to analyse; the character's first-person view allows for an easy visit to the environments. To allow fluid use of the product, advanced optimization techniques such as occlusion culling, lightmapping, level of detail and reflection probes
