Golden Valley Charter Schools is a local non-profit organization offering a unique and multifaceted curriculum. Learning is embedded in storytelling, movement, arts, music and direct experience of natural phenomena. Practical arts is part of our curriculum and begins in Kindergarten and increases with complexity, creativity, and imagination through Eighth grade. We will showcase the creative projects the students make throughout the grades.

Marlene Laughter
Marlene Laughter has worked with Golden Valley Charter Schools since Spring of 2012. She began as a substitute teacher and an assistant in the outdoor kindergarten Home Study program. Arts and crafts in the kindergarten are hands on sewing, woodworking, felting, and finger knitting. Currently, Marlene is working in the Central Office for the two charter schools in creating an awareness of the unique program offerings from Tk - 8th grade. Her hobbies include gardening, baking, and crafting.
