Geneus1 creates interactive digital graffiti art with algorithmic graphics and fractal animations. Audio-reactive graffiti art will be dynamically created on site. Visitors will also have a chance to create their own graffiti artwork.
Eugene Buban
Eugene Buban is known to have multiple identities. In many schools around Vallejo, he is known as “Mr. Gene,” while in the art community, he is known as the artist “Geneus1.”
“Mr. Gene” is a teaching artist in Vallejo who teaches Art, Music, and Dance through the lens of Hip-Hop, specifically in the form of Graffiti Art, DJing and Beatmaking, Emceeing, and Breakdancing. Most recently, Mr. Gene has developed the World Music Hip-Hop Program, where elementary students create their own raps, perform breaking and body percussion, mix live DJ set lists, decorate graffiti art, and emcee their final art celebration.
“Geneus1” is a Hip-Hop moniker representing the status of being a practitioner of breakdancing and digital graffiti art. Geneus1 is a founding member of the world renowned Rock Force Crew, spanning over 40 years of breaking culture in the San Francisco Bay Area. He creates kinetic digital graffiti by using experimental technologies like virtual reality and video projection mapping to elevate the art form. He strives to level up his artwork by incorporating all of his creative talents in art, music, and dance performance with technology to inspire and educate future generations.
