Live, 3D printed accessibility tools! Get an exclusive Maker Faire-themed stamp to decorate YOUR hand or postcard (depends on wind)! We will be collecting PLA filament plastic waste & #2 HDPE plastic at Maker Faire (please use labeled bins & bring your plastic waste) to recycle back into artwork. Live demos all day, all 3 days using your donated plastic waste!

Our Makers Making Change Sacramento chapter 3D prints assistive devices that improve daily life for people with disabilities, donating them to local non-profit organizations.

EcoPress Sacramento collects post-consumer plastic waste, like bottle caps and 3D printing scraps, and upcycles it into functional and wearable art, including jewelry, coasters, signage and furniture.

See how makers turn challenges & waste into creative, community-driven solutions using open source information. "Guess what accessibility tool" game with a Maker-Faire themed 3D printed prize for the first 100 people each day who get all answers correct!

Makers Making Change

Assistive technology helps people with disabilities live, work, and play with more independence. However, for many, commercial solutions are too costly. DIY assistive technology — community created devices made by volunteer makers — can help bridge the gap.

At Makers Making Change, a Neil Squire program, with our community of volunteers and library of over 200+ open-source designs that can be made by anyone, we enable people with disabilities to obtain affordable assistive devices and live life to the fullest.

The Sacramento chapter will be at the maker faire.
