The UDC Biomedical Engineering Laboratory contains the Center for Biomechanical and Rehabilitation Engineering, CBRE, directed by Dr. Lara Thompson. The UDC CBRE Lab is focused on balance an mobility of impaired (e.g., fall-prone elderly) and un-impaired (e.g., athlete and non-athlete) groups.

Dr. Lara Thompson is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering and the Director of the Biomedical Engineering Program and Laboratory (Center for Biomechanical & Rehabilitation Engineering, CBRE) at UDC.
