The repair experience enhances mechanical, material, and instructional literacy. What if we introduced novel ways to see the art of repair? How could our world change if we saw repair as a statement of defiance, a work of art, or even as urban renewal?

Vincent Lai

Vincent Lai has been running the Fixers Collective since 2011. Having started as part of the 2008-2009 "Mend" exhibit at Proteus Gowanus, the Fixers Collective still holds Fixing Sessions throughout the five boroughs at least once a month. He enjoys showcasing the Fixers at places like Maker Faire, HOPE X, Art In Odd Places, and ACM-CHI SIG. He's currently trying to fix his golf swing.
