LEARNER
To accomplish the challenging scientific goals of future planetary missions, next-generation robotic assets are developed to enable autonomous long-range traverses. In this framework, the LEARNER project, led by Prof. Genova and the SPRING lab, aims to develop a medium-sized rover prototype equipped with advanced mobility, navigation, and environment perception capabilities. By leveraging AI-powered data-fusion approaches, the rover is designed to safely navigate kilometer-scale distances per day, advancing the state of planetary exploration technology in preparation for future human missions.
