Atlantic Marine Conservation Society (AMSEAS)
The Atlantic Marine Conservation Society (AMSEAS) is a non-profit founded in 2016, with a mission of promoting marine conservation through action. AMSEAS responds to stranded marine mammals and sea turtles in New York, and conducts investigations on these deceased animals to monitor threats in the environment. AMSEAS also conducts wild population research of marine mammals and sea turtles, and rehabilitates cold-stunned sea turtles. AMSEAS uses the lessons learned from stranding response and wild population research to educate the public about New York's unique marine wildlife and environment.

AMSEAS was founded in 2016 to meet a need to investigate the strandings and deaths of marine mammals and sea turtles on Long Island. We are inspired every day to educate the public on our fascinating wildlife, and to encourage the public to join our mission of marine conservation through action.
