Leonardo InMoov: 3D Printed Interactive Humanoid Robot
Home: Guatemala, Guatemala
Leonardo InMoov is an interactive humanoid robot that integrates advanced AI technologies with a physical 3D printed robotic body based on the open-source InMoov Project, creating an intelligent robot with a personality powered by ChatGPT. The robot uses OpenAI's latest technology, including Vision, Speech-to-Text, and Text-to-Speech, enabling it to understand and respond to voice commands, describe what it sees, and generate thoughtful answers. The InMoov design, originally created by French sculptor Gaël Langevin, incorporates Arduino and servos to enable the robot to execute specific gestures such as counting, saluting, and grabbing objects. This project showcases the potential of AI and robotics to create interactive and intuitive machines.

What Inspired You to Make This?
The inspiration behind Leonardo InMoov is rooted in its status as a university legacy project, passed down through the hands of previous engineering students. Now, we have the opportunity to work with it and continue its development. Our goal is to bring new life and enhancements to this project by integrating new technologies to create a unique experience. As students of Mechatronics Engineering, we see this as an excellent platform to apply our knowledge in a practical and engaging way. This project allows us to explore the capabilities of AI and robotics, offering valuable experience in developing interactive systems.
