AKG Robotics – smart pot and smart table

AKG Robotics is the robotics club and makerspace of AKG school in Budapest, Hungary. We showcase two projects made entirely by students. An interactive table which uses cheap components, easy to transport, assemble and can be used in education form teaching topography to playing math games with. The smart pot has an advanced sensor and a phone application through which the owners can monitor teh well being of their plants.

UWF Sevil Research Group in the Department of Intelligent Systems & Robotics focuses on navigation, guidance, and control of mobile robots, as well as using computer vision methods to detect-identify-track objects with mobile robots. We will demonstrate a hexapod robot, which is used to detect and follow drones, and a quadruped robot, which essentially maps out its surroundings, then finds the quickest and most efficient route to the goal position without running into any obstacles.

“TuBora”: a D_I_Y lift generator for STEAM

The Spoon House

The Spoon House is an update and expansion of last year's Spoon Regeneration Station installation. The Spoon House is a 20'x10', 2-room structure with an armature made from metal pipes that stands 9' tall at its "ceiling" peak. The "walls" and "roof" are made from over 5000 spoons arranged in free-hanging strands of spoons of various types connected together with split rings. There is a "window" of clear space framed by metal pipe in one wall and "doorways" of clear space where no spoons hang that allow visitors to walk through the house. Spoon-decorated furniture inside both rooms welcomes visitors to sit, rest, contemplate and converse. A spoon "bouquet" sits on one table, and an interactive journal explains Spoon Theory and the Spoon House project and provides prompts for reflection.
