We are a place where communities can gather to play with the creative power of digital design and fabrication, electronics, physical computing, engineering, art and creative coding.
Come check out a collection of projects made by children and adults at the NYC Makery, a community makerspace in Gowanus, Brooklyn. We have video games, 3D designs, wearable technology, electronic inventions, and more.
What inspired you to make this project?:
We are all passionate educators and creative technologists who are thrilled about the drive to open makerspaces in schools. However, we are concerned that most of these spaces are opening in private schools. Our goal is to provide access to the tools for creative making with technologies to communities that may not otherwise have access.
