The Wisconsin Organization Of Spacemodeling Hobbyists- WOOSH has a strong history of exhibiting at various Maker Faires throughout Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Elkhorn, Pleasant Prairie and others. . Our exhibit is an informative introduction to the exciting hobby of model rocketry. Our outreach team explains building materials, techniques, and launch procedures. We bring an assortment of rockets ranging in size between a few inches to as tall as 15 feet. We also have a hands-on Air Rocket Build and Fly component which teaches kids basic rocket building skills and allows the kids to actually launch their rocket from our hand pumped air rocket launch pad.

The Wisconsin Organization Of Spacemodeling Hobbyists - WOOSH is Section 558 of the National Rocketry Association. Our club has over 100 memmbers who enjoy building and launching model rockets. Our Outreach Team provides an introduction to the exciting hobby of model rocketry. We explain building materials, techniques, and launch procedures. Our display features rockets from a few inches to 15 feet tall. We also offer a hands-on Air Rocket Build and Fly component which teaches kids basic rocket building skills and allows the kids to fly their rocket- powered by compressed air.

The WOOSH Outreach Group travels throughout the state of Wisconsin spreading the word about the exciting hobby of model rocketry. We visit schools, church groups, 4 H clubs, and Scout dens, packs, and troops in order to assist with rocket building and offering safe launch facilities for all. We also have a strong program working with middle and high school students in the annual American Rocketry Challenge. Our club allows members and guests to fly at scheduled organised launches at various locations several times per month. WOOSH has a strong history of exhibiting at various Maker Faires throughout Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Madison, Elkhorn, Pleasant Prairie and others.
