Wheels to Watts (WtW) is an innovative energy-harvesting system that generates electricity from the pressure of moving vehicle wheels. Using a rack-and-pinion mechanism connected to a generator, the downward force of passing vehicles is converted into rotational motion, producing clean, renewable power. A restoring element ensures the system resets for continuous operation. Designed for highways, toll gates, and busy roads, WtW offers a sustainable solution to power streetlights, signals, and charging stations while reducing reliance on non-renewable energy sources.

We are Wheels to Watts (WtW), a team of 17-year-olds passionate about innovation. Mirzayeva Intizor assembled all parts, Safarova Bahora designed and cut them, and Sevara Baxtiyorova prepared the presentation. Together, through strong teamwork and collaboration, we combined our unique skills to bring the project to life. WtW reflects our creativity, dedication, and unity as young innovators.

What Inspired You to Make This?

Our inspiration came from the idea of turning everyday challenges into opportunities. Seeing how much energy is wasted daily by vehicles on the road, we wanted to design a sustainable solution that could capture that energy and transform it into electricity. As young innovators, we were motivated to create a project that not only showcases engineering creativity but also contributes to a cleaner, greener future.
