Abby Milam Growing up in Fayetteville I was lucky to eat a lot of healthy minimally processed foods. Much of it straight from the garden or a local farm. Over the years I realized our food was changing and not for the better. These days it is so hard to know what we are actually eating and what is being put into our food without our knowledge. Trying to read food labels is intentionally confusing and deceptive even to a professional chef like me. Food companies are allowed to advertise their food as healthy when it is anything but. Now more than ever the most important thing in the world is educating people on food and the impact it has on the body, mind, and soul. And, I have traveled the world in pursuit of that knowledge. Getting my culinary degree in Switzerland and working in fine dining restaurants and later as a private chef for many years before moving into the corporate food world has taught me the importance of what we put in our bodies.
