OpenScan offers an open-source hardware and software platform for photogrammetry, which allows users to create their own 3D scanning solution. Photogrammetry is a low-cost alternative to off-the-shelf 3d scanners and offers great accuracy and flexibility. You can either build your own 3d scanner from existing files or use the plans to invent your own solution.
