The hands-on demonstrations were developed with the specific aim to illuminate facets of daily life that we typically take for granted. We find that explaining something the we encounter every day but never think about is super effective at inspiring people of all ages. The outreach arm of the MCC optics program working the Maker Faire is specifically aimed at sharing the love of STEM and optics with the community and not program recruitment. This is our passion.
