Maker Faire Downtown Columbia 2025
Maryland Area Combat Robotics Organization (MACRO)
Home: Maryland, United States of America
Maryland Area Combat Robotics Organization (MACRO) is a 501c3 organization which promotes STEM through combat robotics. MACRO members leverage the readily available and inexpensive 3d printers to create the robots, and compete at events. This competition coupled with iterative design helps people, young and old, to understand and appreciate the information being disseminated in STEM programs. Stop by our booth, talk to the members and staff, and even drive a robot against your friends.

Maryland Area Combat Robotics Organization (MACRO) was formed, in 2017, by a group of like minded people after one of the founding member's children expressed interest in BattleBots, the television show. The cost to build large bots, and compete in California or Las Vegas is prohibitively high, so we set about creating a local venue to safely have combat robotics competitions.
