What Inspired You to Make This?

The project is based on and derived from Paul Ellis's (Polymate3d) groundbreaking work on 3D printed speaker drivers. It is a remix of his "Light 4" 3D printed speaker driver, adapted to create a complete portable bluetooth speaker in a Mason jar. I love DIY audio and 3D printing. I have always been interested in making speakers from scratch. 3D printing is a key enabling technology that allows anyone to design and build an entire speaker. Every part can be 3D printed, including the speaker drivers themselves! This is a project we do with our high school physics and electronics students, and it is a crowd pleaser.
