Alydia Brashear

Hello, my name is Alydia Brashear, and I am currently pursuing a dual major in Information Systems and Studio Art at the University of Arkansas. My academic and creative work is rooted in exploring the intersection between technological innovation and traditional artistic techniques. I am particularly interested in how emerging technologies, such as data visualization, interactive media, and digital design, can enhance storytelling, user experience, and creative expression across both business and artistic domains. Through my interdisciplinary background, I strive to bridge analytical thinking with visual creativity to design thoughtful, impactful, and innovative solutions.

What Inspired You to Make This?

I really fell in love with the hands-on, detailed process of intaglio printmaking; it taught me a lot about patience and craft. At the same time, I’ve always been drawn to creative technology, and that interest naturally found its way into my work. Using laser cutters has become a way for me to merge both worlds, combining the precision of digital tools with the texture and depth of traditional techniques.
