Leatherworking and Doll making with Level 1

Home: Indiana, United States of America

Two years ago, as part of Level 1, I brought some dolls that I have exhibited at KY State Fair. These are award winning dolls from Cleopatra to Daniel Boone, including a Civil War couple, bride dolls, Alice in Wonderland set, medieval set, and others. I also brought my leather crafting equipment and kids made name tags or pony tail holders. I used the sidewalk with pounding boards to let the kids make their item. I have 14 pounding boards and hammers. I strung the name tags with lacing. I have dinosaurs, Boy Scout stamps, Girl Scout stamps, animals, Native American stamps, etc. I supply predrilled leather rounds for name tags and predrilled ovals and butterflies for the pony tail holders. I provide the stick for the pony tail holders. I DO NOT charge the kids to make these items.

What Inspired You to Make This?

I was a costumer for an award winning high school program and love making costumes for dolls. I love doing leatherwork and I love teaching it to others.
