Laura McGarvey grew up in New England and moved to Wisconsin over 20 years ago. She began crocheting at the age of 13, she started designing at the age of 50 and created her first Inkie in 2011. A few short years later, her business; Isabelle’s Inkies: was formed. To date Laura has created over 80 different Inkie designs, and continues to create even more.

What Inspired You to Make This?

I started designing crocheted items at the age of 50. In 2011 I designed my first Inkie. I found that I have a passion for creating. My inspiration comes from the smiles and happiness that people experience when seeing my creations.
