Katie Pelon
Katie Pelon is the sole maker behind Environerd, and primarily writes children's books that teach about wildlife conservation topics. She holds a Master's degree in Environmental Education and Bachelor's degree in Ecology and Evolution.

I am currently exploring new ways of engaging learners in wildlife conservation through the Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education's training program for environmental educators. Challenged with creating a new project that ties together my interests and pushes me out of my comfort zone, I was inspired to develop a new, guided nature journal that builds off my fictional books, so that readers can experiment with the nature journaling skills they read about in the real world as well.
