Maker Faire Coney Island 2025

Engineering With XyayX

Home: New York, United States of America

We are The XyayX Institute, a K–12 STEM and social justice school presenting student-built projects that blend innovation and impact. Featured builds include a hydraulic automated bridge, Arduino-powered hospital bed, 3D-printed 2DOF and 3DOF robots, an air quality sensor kit, and an automated syringe pump. Designed by students from underserved communities, these projects reflect our mission to empower youth through coding, engineering, and environmental justice.

We are a team of young innovators from The XyayX Institute, a K–12 STEM and social justice school. As student engineers, we design and build real-world solutions using Arduino, robotics, coding, and environmental sensors. Our projects reflect our commitment to hands-on learning, community empowerment, and using technology to make a difference.

What Inspired You to Make This?

As an educator, I was inspired to guide my students through multiple projects to expose them to the full range of physical computing, engineering, and real-world problem-solving. From automated hospital beds to air quality monitors, each project gives students hands-on experience with Arduino, sensors, robotics, and coding. Our goal is to empower underserved youth with the skills, confidence, and creativity to design solutions that matter—while showing them they belong in the world of STEM and innovation.
