"Defy reality in order to change it."' Nicola Mattis is the Founder and Chief Marketing Officer for Brand Engineer Studios, where she is dedicated to working with Black and Brown engineering professionals to create powerful brand stories so that they can achieve their goals in business, with startups or their own entrepreneurial ventures. Nicola has over 15 years of brand marketing experience, working for brands like Ecolab, TiVo, FedEx and Travelocity. Yes. She’s worked and traveled with the Roaming Gnome to some amazing places. She graduated from Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy Studies and African and African-American Studies. In addition, she obtained an MBA (Masters of Business Administration) from Wake Forest University but always, always roots for Duke even when they’re not winning. She believes that you should aim high, have fun and be bold.
