Adam Kowalski

Born and raised in Asheville, NC - Adam was exposed to the puppetry of Hobey Ford while a student at Isaac Dickson Elementary school. Growing up in the early 90s was a great time to be exposed to the height of television puppetry and practical effects used in movies. Transparently inspired and influenced by the likes of: the Crypt Keeper, Harry Henderson, Charles Lee Ray, Hoth Wampas, Cantina Creatures, Predator Aliens and the inhabitants of the Muppet Theater, Sesame Street and Eureka’s Castle. Adam worked for Animax Designs in Nashville, TN as a Lead Fabricator and Integration Specialist building puppets, character suits and elements of full size animatronics for the tier one theme park industry from Spring 2020-Spring 2024. Now back in his hometown of Asheville, Adam has settled into a shared workshop in Woodfin where he continues to create puppets, props and creatures for a wide range of clientele.
