Liz Lueras
Liz Sandoval Lueras is a writer/educator who has lived in two places throughout her life: her hometown of Chicago and the Los Angeles suburb of Whittier, CA. When she's not in Chicago, she's thinking about Chicago and likely talking about it, too. Liz created the character (and subsequent book) "Archie Architecture" so that Archie could be her mouthpiece--to tell the world of Chicago's awesomeness--and the awesomeness of its architecture. Archie Architecture's friends will soon realize that while he has a special love of buildings everywhere, his bigger passion is possibly the people who live and work inside of those buildings. Liz has taught full-time for 10 years. Her classroom experience includes RSP (Special Education) and self-contained classrooms in grades K-8. Her favorite grade to teach so far is 7th! In between her teaching, she loved working at the Chicago Architecture Foundation (now CAC), where she truly fell in love with architecture. Her essays have been
