Amy's Heirloom Ornaments
Home: Ohio, United States
I make hand-stitched heirloom Christmas ornaments from wool felt. Some of my ornaments are made from patterns that were available in the 1970's, some are made from patterns by current artists, and some are designs I have created myself. There is no machine sewing -- every stitch is made by hand. I have made many hundreds of them and have never sold a single one. These are gifted to my friends and family and are often personalized to represent an experience or personal interest of the recipient. I will display a rotating Christmas tree full of ornaments from my own collection. I will have smaller displays with ornaments I have gifted to others along with photos and explanations of the meaning attached to the ornaments. I will bring some simple patterns for people to take with them so they may try stitching ornaments themselves, as well as a resource list available for supplies and additional patterns. I will also share the steps involved with creating an original pattern from a photo or clipart.

Amy Loveday
I have been making handcrafted items my entire adult life and love nothing better than spending time in my sewing room. In addition to making hand-stitched heirloom Christmas ornaments, I am also an avid quilter and frequently do costume work for local high school and community theater groups. When I'm not at the sewing machine, you can often find me on the stage performing in community theater musicals or alongside my husband Scott. Together, we perform acoustic Americana music at local wineries, festivals, and events.
