The human body is a marvel of complexity― curves, lines, and fleeting facial expressions of muscles, tendons, skin coming together to create elegant forms and patterns. But how can one design a face or figure in three dimensions? As a sculptor I explore these questions using various techniques, and media. My work blends centuries-old craftsmanship with modern tools―clay, carving, casting, glass, wood, stone, metal, paper, 3D printing, and even AI-assisted design―each chosen to reveal a subject’s unique character. At Maker Faire, I’ll share my processes and demonstrate some of the many approaches available to figurative sculptors. Visitors can explore my tools, see works-in-progress, and discover how art, craft, and technology come together to bring the human form to life.

All you need is our free open-source apps—or bring your own laptop and experiment right at the booth using the Python programming language. The hardware is available for purchase on-site. We look forward to experimenting with you and making the world of technology come alive! We offer exciting hands-on activities centered around the open hardware projects Pocket Science Lab (PSLab) and Badge Magic LEDs. Workshop: “Create Your Own Light Graphics on a Mini LED Display with Python” Participants can use Python to create their own animated graphics, text, and animations on LED displays. All they need is a laptop—the workshop is beginner-friendly and explained step-by-step. It runs continuously, is free of charge, and our team is always available to help. The hardware used can also be purchased directly at the booth. Pocket Science Lab – The Pocket Lab: Visitors can try out the Pocket Science Lab and learn how to collect and analyze data. With our open-source app for smartphones or computers, experiments can be conducted on the spot. Tech enthusiasts can also learn more about the hardware, download the device schematics, and test the PSLab themselves.

Solar Generator

I made a Solar Generator at Unallocated Maker Space. It’s a portable device that can supply 120 AC power in remote locations and or in times of Emergencies. I would like to demonstrate my project. I have no commercial interest. The system breaks down into two suitcases and a bag full of cables plus solar panels. I have spare parts and diagnostic equipment from the generator's creation to use as props for the demo along with photos of the process. (Sustainability & Green Tech) The solar generator is made with reclaimed LiFePo Cells. The cells were harvested from old packs tested for charge and discharge characteristics then rebuilt into differently configured packs. (Design and Fabrication) Raw PCBs were made from files and I populated the board by hand.
