Flapper – drony inspirované přírodou

Flapper jsou létající roboti inspirovaní hmyzem a ptáky - místo vrtulí tedy létají za pomocí mávajících křídel. Vedle atraktivního vzhledu jsou oproti vrtulovým dronům i bezpečnější, a to díky nízké hmotnosti, absenci nebezpečných vrtulí a schopností během letu odolávat drobným kolizím. Návštěvníci se mohou těšit na letové ukázky, vysvětlíme, jak drony létají a jak se ovládají, a bude možné si vyzkoušet i jejich pilotáž v praxi.

Oscillara turns plumbing scraps into a glowing playground of math, code, and light. Each 10-inch PVC tube is backed with a mirror and packed with addressable LEDs, creating the illusion of infinite depth inside a simple pipe. Clusters snap together in triangles and hexagons, forming larger sculptural lattices that seem to ripple and breathe. Powered by two Pixelblaze controllers and eight output expanders, Oscillara runs custom 3D patterns that transform geometry into motion, light into texture, and code into visual magic. It's part optics experiment, part programming challenge, part upcycled sculpture — a hands-on look at how discarded materials can reveal endless possibilities when combined with a little math, a little tech, and a lot of curiosity.

Turnovská Špéra, jinak také SUPŠ a VOŠ Turnov, je střední uměleckoprůmyslová škola zaměřená na zpracování kovů a drahých kamenů. Na Maker Faire přiváží ukázat nejen práce svých absolventů, ale také 3D tiskárny a grafické tablety, na kterých vám žáci školy předvedou, jak je při navrhování a výrobě svých uměleckých děl používají. Víte například, co dělají kovolitci? Možná byste se divili, kolik věcí, které vám denně projdou rukama, jsou odlitky. Tak třeba 95 % šperků, které se v současnosti vyrábějí. Přijďte si se špéráckými kovolitci vyzkoušet experimentální lití šperků do kávových zrn, čočky nebo třeba špaget! Pokud neulovíte místo na workshopu, nevadí. U školního stánku i tak vše uvidíte, uslyšíte, ale také si něco vyzkoušíte a určitě neodejdete s prázdnou. Zvídaví návštěvníci by rozhodně neměli minout přednášku pedagogů školy o použití 3D modelů v kovolitectví. Špéru na Maker Faire prostě jen tak neminete!

Alcohol ink works like water colors where one will use isopropyl alcohol, 91%-99%, to dilute the color and then use a heat tool to create the marbling. More iso, the color can be soft and whisky, less iso and the color is more concentrated and bold. The colors can blend easily with one another, but color theory is a must. Alcohol ink can be used on any slick surface, but also on fabrics like silk or cotton.
