Welcome to the wonderful world of Polyshrink art! In this workshop we’ll be drawing with colored pencils on Polyshrink sheets. The work is then placed in a toaster oven where the heat shrinks the image to its original size, in this case 11/2”-2”. The color intensifies and details become impossibly small. Come and be amazed! Il progetto presenta una macchina di Ising fotonica in grado di risolvere il problema del commesso viaggiatore, ovvero trovare il percorso più breve che collega varie destinazioni. Sfruttando luce laser ed un modulatore a cristalli liquidi, la macchina simula i possibili percorsi su un sistema di spin e, convergendo verso stati a bassa energia, individua le soluzioni ottimali del problema. Il prototipo è interattivo: il pubblico potrà indicare i luoghi di Roma che vuole visitare e ottenere, in tempo reale, il tragitto più breve calcolato dalla macchina.
