Match Box Miniatuur: luciferdoosetiketjes 1950-1970 – Een ode aan de grafisch ontwerpers uit het voormalig Oostblok. Met Match Box Miniatuur brengen Anneke de Groot en Jannie de Groot een bijzondere verzameling luciferdoosetiketten onder de aandacht. Ze zijn voornamelijk afkomstig uit Polen en Tsjechië en dateren uit de jaren 50, 60 en 70 van de vorige eeuw. De luciferdoosetiketten vallen op door hun sterke grafische ontwerpen en variëteit aan thema’s. De ontwerpen (van de onbekende ontwerpers) uit de naoorlogse decennia kenmerken zich door hun minimalistische aanpak: eenvoudige, heldere, kleurrijke illustraties met sterke grafische elementen als lijnen en kleurvlakken. Dankzij hun vrolijke en vaak humoristische stijl zijn deze etiketjes – eigenlijk miniatuur postertjes! – geliefde verzamelobjecten geworden. Van de prachtige etiketontwerpen zijn tijdens de Maker Faire posters en ansichtkaarten te koop.

I needed a bike to transport my kids safely on bumpy bay area roads alongside traffic and nothing on the market fit the bill when it came to safety or fun. So being a nerd I decided to build one! This is a 100% DIY including the battery pack - started with raw tubes and cylindrical lithium batteries and ended up with a usable electric bicycle
