Our Makers Making Change Sacramento chapter 3D prints assistive devices that improve daily life for people with disabilities, donating them to local non-profit organizations. Zant Accelerator è un acceleratore di inferenza AI open hardware, che sfrutta un'architettura ad array sistolico, con un'unità FPU personalizzata in grado di manipolare dati FP16, FP32, INT4 e INT8 e di funzionare come ip su una FPGA. È un modo per implementare modelli di intelligenza artificiale su dispositivi a basso consumo come MCU e SoC a basso consumo. Il progetto è in fase di sviluppo. Attualmente le parti secondarie, come FPU e comunicazioni seriali, sono implementate su una FPGA Altera MAX10 per combinarla con un MCU, e una versione inached su un Polarfire SoC DevKit per l'interazione all'interno di un SoC. Alla fiera porteremo la scheda FPGA con dimostrazioni di visione AI. L'acceleratore è stato realizzato principalmente per il framework di intelligenza artificiale ZANT, ma può essere utilizzato per scaricare un'ampia gamma di modelli di intelligenza artificiale.

It is a handcrafted product Made in Tuscany, an eco-design object conceived and created entirely within a circular economy. It is a versatile container for food processing, suitable for slow cooking and steaming, fermentation, and for keeping food cold (or hot), thanks to the principle of thermal inertia. Exploiting the insulating power of wool—a precious resource that has been ‘forgotten’ for too long—it allows food to continue the cooking process started on the stove and/or maintain its temperature in a controlled way. It reduces energy, water, emissions, and labor time, both at home and in small-scale catering. The LCA results have been remarkable, carried out by SEAcoop STP (Turin), 2025: Life Cycle Assessment of the Filo & Fibra Slow Cooker; a study reviewed and validated by Dr. Benedetto Rugani (CNR-IRET Porano). In simple terms… the Slow Cooker is sustainable and safe!

The GEarheads are an FTC robotics team that is focused on building technical skills for design and fabrication, we will highlight three CNC router platforms we have constructed. We will demonstrate the use of one open source CNC router, share information on how you can build one, and demonstrate using the CNC. We will showcase building the hardware as well as the CAD and software tools used to operate it. We will also show an example FTC competition robot that used a CNC router to construct many of it parts and be giving opportunities for visitors to drive this robot.
