My body of work is evenly divided between digital and traditional mediums. Half of my creations begin as illustrations drawn on Procreate on the iPad, which are then professionally printed, framed or matted, and also reproduced as magnets and greeting cards. The other half consists of original, tactile pieces crafted with molding paste and acrylic paint, offering rich texture and dimensional depth. This dual approach reflects my passion for blending modern digital tools with hands-on techniques, allowing me to explore visual storytelling across a variety of forms and surfaces.

Smart Pet Box with M5Stack Plus 2 The Smart Pet Box with M5StickC Plus2 uses various sensors and an automation control system to monitor and control the pet's living environment. The controller features real-time environment monitoring, automatic temperature and humidity control, overheat protection, remote control and data viewing as well as camera monitoring to ensure that a comfortable environment for your pet. 2. AI Polaroid with Raspberry Pi Why settle for traditional photos when you can have AI-enhanced ones? This demo featured a Raspberry Pi-powered polaroid camera capable of generating nine different AI-stylized photo effects, thanks to VanceAI’s image processing. Once a visitor selected a style, the image was printed instantly using a Xiaomi Printer—turning our booth into a mini AI-powered photo studio. 3. Smart Energy System with Arduino As an intelligent battery and load management system using solar panels, batteries, and Arduino, this smart energy system converts solar energy into electrical power, charges batteries, and provides power to Arduino and peripherals. The system also includes real-time monitoring of battery and load parameters such as voltage, current, and power using the INA226 module. 4. Lego Porsche with M5-Programmed Engine & Display Our crowd's favorite was the Lego Porsche demo, featuring an engine controlled by M5AtomS3 Joystick module and digital dashboard display. It illustrated how embedded systems could enhance automation, robotics, and real-world control applications.

The Many Faces of Sculpture

The human body is a marvel of complexity― curves, lines, and fleeting facial expressions of muscles, tendons, skin coming together to create elegant forms and patterns. But how can one design a face or figure in three dimensions? As a sculptor I explore these questions using various techniques, and media. My work blends centuries-old craftsmanship with modern tools―clay, carving, casting, glass, wood, stone, metal, paper, 3D printing, and even AI-assisted design―each chosen to reveal a subject’s unique character. At Maker Faire, I’ll share my processes and demonstrate some of the many approaches available to figurative sculptors. Visitors can explore my tools, see works-in-progress, and discover how art, craft, and technology come together to bring the human form to life.

FireGuard 360 è un sistema ciber-fisico integrato per la protezione di abitazioni soggette al rischio incendi, con funzionalità di monitoraggio, allerta e intervento. FireGuard 360 è un sistema avanzato progettato per proteggere abitazioni situate in aree ad alto rischio di incendi boschivi, con particolare attenzione alle zone isolate e difficilmente raggiungibili dai servizi di emergenza, come in vicinanza di parchi naturali, foreste o aree agricole. Il sistema ha due obiettivi principali: (1) proteggere l’abitazione da incendi imminenti tramite l’attivazione di opportuni dispositivi di limitazione della diffusione dell’incendio (2) comunicare tempestivamente lo stato di rischio agli occupanti della abitazione tramite dashboard smart. FireGuard 360 integra sensori ambientali, attuatori e algoritmi di controllo per rilevare tempestivamente situazioni anomale e attivare misure automatiche di contenimento.
